When we left off in Part 1, I had just received that startling message from my Higher Self:
You’re meant to be somewhere else…
Teaching something else…
And you’re being called to go there now.
I’ll never forget those words because they jolted me out of the reality I was in; the reality I thought I was “meant” to be living.
Once the panel wrapped up, Garrett and I went back home.
For the next few weeks, I wondered in confusion:
Somewhere else I’m meant to be? Teaching something else??
What about this years-long, successful, very involved career I’ve built in academia??
What about all the time, energy, and hours upon hours of work that have gone into this??
To which my Higher Self replied:
I get it.
But you’re meant to be somewhere else, teaching something else, in a different way. YOUR way.
You’re here to do something else.
Get ready.
[Side note: my ego self was like, “ok sure!!!” *scared eye roll*]
This conversation between me and my Higher Self sparked a long journey of coming to terms with my TRUE purpose and making the choice to leave academia to do spiritual work full-time. (I switched over completely in 2017.)
That journey wasn’t easy.
I had to confront many doubts, fears, resistance, and push-back (both from within and from others).
I had to keep moving forward even when I couldn’t really see the path ahead.
During that whole journey, I leaned on the Akashic Records – they were my source of daily support, guidance, clarity, and comfort.
They kept me going, especially during the most challenging moments.
The Records helped me:
- Tap into a consistent source of CLEAR guidance about the aligned actions and steps I needed to take, all along the way
- Release the OLD IDENTITY I had built of myself (as “the academic”) and create a new, more authentic, more aligned identity
- Release other people’s opinions, expectations, and ideas of what MY life “should” be
- Discover and fully align with my purpose as a healer
- Awaken and deepen my spiritual and intuitive gifts
- Release egoic attachments to having others approve of my life path and choices
- Release the fear of failure
- Release the fear of my spiritual business “not working” (or of not making any money)
- Release a core fear of being unworthy / not good enough (which had been running beneath the surface during ALL my years in academia – hence my attempts to compensate and prove my worth by over-achieving)
Ultimately, the Records helped me build a sustainable, aligned, fulfilling, 6-figure spiritual business (surpassing my income from academia!).
I did this by tapping into the higher field of consciousness of the Akashic Records, allowing myself to be transformed, and following – without fail – the clear guidance I received.
Every time you genuinely connect to the Records, you’re given the most highly aligned next step for your purpose, fulfillment, and expansion in your current incarnation.
(There’s NO exception to this – so it’s really about learning how to ASK, how to RECEIVE, and how to FOLLOW THROUGH on the Records’ guidance.)
Pretty quickly, I discovered I was meant to use the Akashic Records in my healing work – AND teach people how to master the Records for themselves.
I accepted my Divine assignment to be a responsible and dedicated steward of the Records in this lifetime.
My life has been transformed and expanded continually since then…
And I get to keep using, relying on, and teaching the Akashic Records to other incredible humans every day.
